35-year old mother dies after drinking 2 liters of water in 20 minutes.
A 35-year-old mother of two from Indiana in the US has reportedly passed away after consuming 64 ounces (roughly 2 litres) of water in 20 minutes.
According to Devon Miller, Ashley Summers’ brother, she began to feel severely dehydrated while spending the Fourth of July on a lake in Indiana.
Speaking to Good Morning America Devon, her brother explained what transpired, adding that she had drank too much water which led to water intoxication.
“So, she was drinking a lot of water.”
“At one point during the day, she started getting a bad headache,”
“She felt dizzy and had this headache,”
“They got home. She walked across the garage to go into the house and she passed out in the garage.” said Devon

According to Miller, the family was informed by the medics that his sister passed away from water intoxication.
Water intoxication is reportedly an uncommon but serious ailment brought on by consuming large amounts of water quickly and upsetting the body’s electrolyte balance.
