As The River on 1 Magic approaches its conclusion, more of the beloved original cast members are bidding farewell to the iconic telenovela. Recently, Lunga Mofokeng, one of the more popular actors, revealed that he has completed filming his final scenes for the show.
In a heartfelt social media post, Mofokeng expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to be a part of the series. He shared, “When One Door Closes, Another Opens Right???” The actor extended his appreciation to Tshedza Pictures for the chance to be a part of this incredible project. He also thanked DSTV and 1 Magic for bringing their great work to the viewers week after week.
Furthermore, Mofokeng conveyed his unfeigned gratitude to the loyal viewers of The River. Their support and enthusiasm made every day on set a joy, and their dedication to the show made him look forward to coming to work every day.
Television producer Lule Hela took the opportunity to congratulate the actor on his remarkable contribution to the show, and her admiration for his brilliance on screen. “Congratulations!! It’s been an absolute pleasure to watch your brilliance!! Wishing you all the very best! It’s only the beginning,” she said.
The River weaves a narrative around the life of Lindiwe Dikana, the wealthy owner of Khanyisa Diamond’s mine. Driven by her relentless ambition and desire to preserve her opulent lifestyle, Lindiwe is portrayed as a fiercely protective matriarch who would go to great lengths to safeguard her family.
Once married to provincial police commissioner Zweli Dikana, Lindiwe is a mother to Andile and Mbali Dikana, and a stepmother to Nomonde Dikana. The Dikana family resides in a lavish mansion situated in Pretoria East, South Africa. However, despite the grandeur that surrounds them, there are underlying tensions and complexities within the family dynamic.
