PSL giants Kaizer Chiefs and sportswear brand Kappa have rekindled their historic partnership to launch two brand new kits ahead of the upcoming season. The collaboration, which first began in 1989, saw Amakhosi achieve tremendous success, including winning the quadruple in their first year with Kappa sponsorship.
The highly-anticipated reunion of these iconic brands will witness Kaizer Chiefs take to the pitch in their dazzling gold and black Kappa home kit for the 2023-24 season. In addition to the home kit, Chiefs and Kappa have unveiled a green and gold away kit.
“Inspired by South Africa’s natural beauty, the green represents the nation’s lush landscapes and symbolizes the nurturing of a new relationship. The gold trim signifies victory and honors the club’s 53-year journey of accomplishments.”

Kaizer Chiefs Marketing Manager Jessica Motaung says the new design embodies the club’s brand identity.
“We are thrilled to unveil our new jerseys in conjunction with Kappa. These designs epitomize our brand identity and the loyalty of our supporters. We believe that these kits will not only inspire our players on the field but also resonate with the Amakhosi faithful in a profound way.”
Director and Head of Kappa South Africa, Ricky Joseph is equally delighted to partner with Amakhosi again.
“After almost 30 years of being apart from each other, we are once again truly delighted to be associated with Kaizer Chiefs; an iconic football Club with a legendary status in Africa,” he said.
“The launch of these distinctive jerseys marks an exciting new chapter for Kaizer Chiefs and Kappa. Our renewed collaboration aims to push the boundaries of design and performance, creating jerseys that truly integrate the Club’s heritage and aspirations with Kappa’s innovation and style when it comes to sports and leisure wear,” he adds.
