
Morena Ramoreboli appointed head coach of the Bafana Bafana team competing at the COSAFA Cup
The hiring of Morena Ramoreboli as Bafana Bafana coach for the 2023 COSAFA Cup has been made official by the South African Football Association (SAFA).
Returning to the role he occupied a few years ago, Morena Ramoreboli led Bafana Bafana to a COSAFA Cup victory without giving up a goal.
Ramoreboli is highly regarded because he just led Jwaneng Galaxy to their first-ever national championship in the 2023 Botswana Premier League.

The appointment was confimed in an official statement by SAFA.
“The South African Football Association (SAFA) has appointed Morena Ramoreboli as head coach of the Bafana Bafana team to play in the upcoming COSAFA Cup.”
“He will be assisted by Raymond Mdaka who helped Marumo Gallants reach the last 4 of the CAF Confederations Cup.”
“Ramoreboli recently led Jwaneng Galaxy FC lift the 2023 Botswana Premier League title.”
“The COSAFA Cup tournament will run from 5-16 July in Durban and the two coaches will name their squad on Friday, 23 June.”
“The Bafana Bafana COSAFA Cup squad will go into camp on 27 June 2023 in Durban.”
“SAFA Technical Director Walter Steenbok said the two coaches had the pedigree to make the country proud.” read the statement
