Earlier this month, Sunday World reported that DJ Sumbody‘s girlfriend, Tlotlisang Moloi was allegedly kicked out of the musician and club owner’s house in Ceturion, Johannesburg, by his family.
DJ Sumbody, real name Oupa John Sefoka, was gunned down in the early hours of Sunday morning, November 20, 2022, on his way from a gig in Woodmead, Johannesburg.
The DJ was with his bodyguard, who also died on the scene, and his friend, who succumbed to injuries days later.
Zimoja reports that Oretlotlile rubbished claims that she is struggling after being told to vacate the late musician’s house.
“I am well taken care of. I am not struggling,” Oretlotile was quoted by the publication as saying. “Even at home, we are okay, my parents still work, and they can take care of me. I am so blessed to have been given a car and a house,” she said. Oretlotlile adds that her late boyfriend took care of her. “Some of you, your boyfriends don’t even buy you anything, they even take wigs they bought you after the relationship comes to an end. I have a house and a car.”
DJ Sumbody’s mother reportedly loses Ayepyep nightclub
DJ Sumbody’s mother and his business partner, Kagiso Setsetse, have reportedly been at odds over their joint nightclub. Setsetse reportedly said that DJ Sumbody’s mother gave illegal orders to staff members to turn over equipment.
Sunday World reported that Setsetse has filed a lawsuit following the incident.
“According to the shareholders agreement, should one of the shareholders die, the executor of the estate shall be deemed to have offered the deceased shares to the existing shareholder at a fair value.
“The remaining shareholder shall be entitled, within a period of 15 business days, following the presentation in writing of the independent auditor’s valuation, of the deceased shareholders shares. Whenever the fair value of a share is required to be determined, the shareholders shall attempt to agree to such value in writing.”
