SA Female entrepreneur creates WhatsApp-based ChatGPT.
MobileGPT, a smartphone-based version of ChatGPT that uses OpenAI’s technology to give users access to the chatbot’s artificial intelligence (AI) tools via WhatsApp, has been released by local software development company Tati Software.
Kaya Biz with Gugulethu Mfuphi spoke to Bertha Kgokong – Founder Tati Digital Software Development about what it took to create her very own AI (artificial intelligence) platform.
The AI-powered chatbot, according to Tati Software, gives WhatsApp users access to crucial features, including LiveData search functionality, which generates real-time research reports from the internet, and WhatsApp conversations from text inputs, powered by the Stable Diffusion XL Engine.
Kgokong broke down how this innovation is set to make the lives of South Africans and those in the continent easier.
“The chatbot itself is built on WhatsApp, however the engine is based on ChatGPT’s Open AI. So we don’t develop the backend computing power, but we use the Open AI.”
“MobileGPT aims to bring the generative AI experience within reach of most smartphone and feature phone users across the continent,”
“Language models like ChatGPT primarily serve to enhance productivity by significantly reducing the time needed for tasks. The potential of this technology to streamline everyday business processes and enhance communication through AI-driven chatbot integration is immense.” says Bertha Kgokong, owner and founder of Tati Software.
