Over the weekend there were various reports suggesting that Simz Ngema was the celebrity who visited ‘Facebook Rapist’ and murderer Thabo Bester in prison.
On Wednesday, the actress addressed these allegations through an official statement.
Ngema revealed she met Thabo Bester who had “been working in the entertainment industry” under the guise of TK Motsepe. The actress confirms she did visit Bester in prison, however, this was five years ago. “It was a difficult time in my life and he owed me money,” she explains.
“I’ve been extremely open about everything to those that have been investigating and I have nothing to hide. I am not the person who went there on a regular basis nor was I the last person to visit before his escape.”
Simz says she has “supporting documents that prove this was only on one occasion.” She pleads with the media to stop “vilifying his victims and using us as a tool for distraction.”We also want answers,” said the actress.
