Big Zulu is ready to take on Cassper Nyovest after winning his first boxing match over the weekend.
The Mali Eningi rapper participated in his first boxing match this past Sunday, April 23 against Brian Dings (a bodyguard on MOJA Love) at AJ’S in The Park, Craighall, Johannesburg.
Big Zulu, who won by knockout in the first round told SA Boxing Talk that the fight was nice and easy.
“It was nice and easy. I think the guy was scared or still trying to find himself so when I stepped on that ring I did try to jab him. The guy was very heavy. I wanted him to continue so we can fight but one way or another he was going to get a knockout at the end of the day.”
Speaking to SA Boxing Talk after Big Zulu’s fight, Cassper said that he wasn’t phased and was ready to take on Big Zulu in the ring.
“I came here to watch him fight and I wanted to see what he got. I am actually more confident now to fight him. Even after the knockout, I think he is exactly what I thought he would be. A big puncher who always relies on his right. The fight was short but he is exactly what I thought he would be.
“I am not too concerned about my weight. I trust my skills. He could be as heavy as he wants to be, I am not thinking about that. In fact, I think that would actually work to my advantage,” said the rapper.
