
Martin Lawrence has been honored with a Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The African-American comedian, producer, writer, director and actor 58-year-old was awarded a star on Thursday on Hollywood Boulevard’s Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Lynn Whitfield, Tracy Morgan, and Steve Harvey, who were Lawrence’s co-stars and collaborators, gave eloquent speeches in celebration of the actor and comedian.
They showered Lawrence with love and appreciation as they reflected on his life’s journey over the years.

Martin Lawrence got his start on television in the late 1980s on “What’s Happening Now.” and later struck TV gold in 1992 as the star of the sitcom “Martin.”
Lawrence is also known for his roles in the Bad Boys trilogy Def Comedy Jam, Big Momma’s House, Open Season, House Party, Boomerang, Wild Hogs, Nothing to Lose, Life and Blue Streak.
