
EFF calls for the arrest of the Dalai Lama after asking boy to “suck” his tongue
The Economic Freedom Fighter (EFF) have call on the arrest of Buddhist Monk, Dalai Lama’s arrest following a disturbing incident this past weekend.
The EFF has reacted to a disturbing video of the Dalai Lama, which was captured during a public ceremony in India.
Child rights organizations and online users have called the action unacceptable and called for the dismissal of the 87-year-old monk of Buddhism.
The Dalai Lama kisses the youngster on the lips while holding the boy’s hand and pointing to his mouth. Next, one can hear clapping and laughing coming from the background. He is then places his forehead on the boy’s forehead and says, “and suck my tongue,” while sticking out his tongue.

The office for the Dalai Lama took to social media and said the spiritual leader regretted his actions in a statement released Monday.
“His holiness wishes to apologise to the boy and his family as well as his many friends across the world, for the hurt his words may have caused,” a statement posted on the 87-year-old head Buddhist Monk’s Twitter account reads.
“His holiness often teases people he meets in an innocent and playful way, even in public and before cameras. He regrets the incident.” read the statement posted on his Twitter account.

They have called on the Indian Authorities to arrest and prosecute him for child abuse.
The EFF has said that “the law must not be spread on any religious leader in abusive acts.”
The have also urged the Indian Authorities to send a stern warning to all those who dare to harm children that they will be prosecuted harshly regardless of their status.
