The Hawks in North West province is looking for a man who allegedly scammed a woman out of her R2 million pension.
It is alleged the man met the 54-year old woman on the dating app Badoo.
Since their meeting, the woman reportedly handed her charming lover money amounting to an estimated R2 million.
The money was exchanged between May and August 2022, and was taken out of the woman’s pension payout.
Hawks North West spokesperson, Captain Tlangelani Rikhotso called on the public to assist with any information on the alleged fraudster whose identity is unknown.
According to Captain Rikhotso, the man used multiple aliases in his interactions with the woman.
