NPR Music’s Tiny Desk concert feature has been turned into at-home performances by the global pandemic.
With the world socially distancing and staying home these performances have, over the last year, gone truly global with performances from across the world.
In this exclusive performance they brought together artists featured in “The Rhythms of Zamunda” soundtrack, a compilation album inspired by the film Coming to America.

The album has great features from artists. Nasty C and Ari Lennox’s “Black & White,” as well as outstanding music from Tiwa Savage, Tekno, Prince Kaybee, Msaki, Bonj, Ricky Tyler and more.
In a statement from Def Jam Africa, they mention the album is “a Pan-African project that bridges the distance between countries and cultures, tracing a musical roadmap through Western, Eastern, and South African soundscapes and introduces this synergy to listeners worldwide.”
