Lamiez Holworthy is in the process of building an orphanage for 30 homeless children.
In 2019 Lamiez adopted 30 orphans without any funding or sponsors.
“I’ve been blessed and lucky enough to finally find a space that we’ve slowly been transforming in to a dream home for my kiddies and can’t tell you just how happy this makes me.”
The 31-year-old notes that she shied away from posting about it “in order to not only protect the dignity of my kids.”
She admits that the journey hasn’t been easy and she couldn’t have done it without “the support of her husband and her family. “
Bathu has now come forward to donate new school shoes.
People have called Lamiez “crazy for taking on such a huge responsibility” considering the state of our economy.
“I find comfort in knowing that Modimo Le Badimo Baka would not plant such a big dream in me without giving me the resources to make it happen,” says Lamiez.
5 years after taking on this responsibility, Lamiez adds that she ‘wouldn’t have made it thus far without “God.”
