Petrol is set to increase by R1.27 per litre starting this Wednesday.
According to a Monday night announcement from the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy, Petrol costs will increase on Wednesday due to a global supply shortage.
In Gauteng, 95 petrol retailed for R21.60 a year ago.
The cost of 95 and 93 unleaded fuel will increase by R1.27 per litre, and the cost of diesel will increase by between 30c and 32c.

The highest retail price for LP gas will increase by R5.22 per kilogram, while the price of lighting paraffin will rise by 13c per litre.

A litre of 95 unleaded fuel will cost R22.95 in Gauteng while R22.30 will be charged on the coast.
