Police are investigating the circumstances of a brazen M2 heist near Germiston, in which an undisclosed amount of money was stolen.
The heist which took place around 19h00 on Thursday, 23 February involved an armed gang who blew up a cash-in-transit vehicle.
There have been no reports of any casualties, thus far but in the videos that have been shared to social media, a number of vehicles were on fire on the M2/N3 split.
Police are investigating the circumstances following a cash in transit heist on the M2 east in Germiston.

According to Ekurhuleni Metro Police, an investigation is underway, however no information on the vehicles involved in the heist were disclosed.
