The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has issued a warning for Gauteng of disruptive rains which could lead to possible flooding throughout the week.
A level 5 Orange warning was issued for the province over the weekend, as parts of Johannesburg experienced further flooding.
Tembisa and Patsing informal settlements are the hardest hit communities, with residents experiencing flooding and sinking of their homes.
According to authorities, some rivers in the region are overflowing due to heavy rainfall which has persisted since Friday, 10 February.
Predictions of further flooding have been issued for Gauteng, northern KwaZulu-Natal, Mpumalanga and Limpopo.

Motorists are urged to exercise caution on the roads as damage to roads and bridges are likely.
Isolated sinkholes may also occur due to fast flowing streams.
