Would you resign is you were in Cyril Ramaphosa’s shoes?
With Independent Political Analyst, Khaya Sithole of the belief that the sun is not setting on “the new dawn” of the ANC, because there was never a new dawn to begin with, it was always a false dawn.
“In 2017, the ANC elected President of the ruling party, and sold us the idea that there was a new dawn, and the ANC was basically reborn.
We were told the party was going to do things differently during his tenure but the problem was that the new figurehead inherited much of the old architecture of the ANC.
So the ANC architecture remained the same, the factionalism within the ANC remained the same, and their ability or lack of ability rather to govern people was still the same, so there was never a new dawn.”

While Khaya Sithole points out that Ramaphosa’s hands were tied by the ANC’s architectural structures, which is why his hands were tied to truly make a difference, Sizwe Dhlomo is of the belief that the President tripped and fell over his own shoelaces.
A sentiment that is shared by many South Africans who had faith in Ramaphosa to steer the country in the right direction.
Now that the Section 89 panel found evidence that indicates the President has a case to answer to, the question is whether Ramaphosa will resign or face charges if they’re brought against him?
