Elon Musk who recently concluded the purchase of Twitter wants to reform the social media platform.
In preparation for a redesign of the social media network, Elon Musk is considering charging Twitter users $20 (R370) per month or $240 (R4 400) per year for a blue tick on their accounts.
According to the tech journal Platformer, the CEO of Tesla plans to increase the $4.99 monthly cost of Twitter’s Blue subscription service to $19.99.
Users who have been validated by the platform and have a blue tick designating them as reliable sources would have 90 days to join Blue or risk losing their check mark.

Musk did not directly address the story in his Sunday post, but “the whole verification process is being revamped right now”.

According to The Verge, employees working on the project were informed on Sunday that failing to launch the feature by the deadline of November 7 will result in their dismissal.
