Spotify will be investing in African content creators, specifically podcaster’s across the African continent.
The global streaming platform announced that it would be investing $100k into the Africa Podcast Fund.
This initiative is said to be amplifying the stories of podcasts across the continent.
In addition to this, the programme was initiated by the global streaming giant with the intention of growing the careers of African podcasters, as well as providing them with a platform and resources to tell their stories.
This fun will also provide creators with networking opportunities to support their brands holistically.
Under the Africa Podcast Fund, Spotify has offered funding to selected creators from African countries with the biggest podcast listenership.
The countries include; South Africa, Ghana, Kenya, Cameroon, and Nigeria.
