Esther Mahlangu, Yvonne Chaka Chaka, David Tlale and Mike Nkuna have been honoured by the Tshwane University of Technology.
On Monday, the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) honoured four South African legends with honorary doctorates in the humanities and management sciences in recognition of their contributions to business, fashion, music, and art.
At TUT’s Pretoria campus in Tshwane, award-winning artists Esther Mahlangu, musicians Yvonne Chaka Chaka, fashion designer David Tlale, and business tycoon Mike Nkuna received their honorary degrees from the institution.
“These are giants in their field, with decades of groundbreaking achievements and contributions to show for their dedication and talent.”
“Furthermore, we look forward to much collaboration and engagement with the recipients, as we know our academic programmes and students will benefit greatly.” said TUT’s spokesperson Phaphama Tshisikhawe.
