The South African Weather Services reports that there will be rainfall in most parts of the country while the Western Cape remains mostly sunny.
Yesterday’s rainfall in the South of Johannesburg saw parts of Alberton flooded and most of Meyersdal was covered under a layer of ice after it was hit by a hailstorm.
Pictures of the devastation caused by the flooding and the hailstorm were shared on social media.
The SAWS did not alert the public because it did not predict any cause for concern.
The Gauteng Weather Twitter page however did issue an alert about the movement of the storm.
It reported that the storm experience in the South of Johannesburg is making its way to the East of Johannesburg and slowly moving to the Northern areas.
