This is a daunting question for many of us in the middle class as we can’t afford to retire, let alone think about it.
The last thing we want to do is be a burden on others once our savings run out.
Lunga from the East Rand shares why she can’t afford to retire.
“I’m in my 30s and I’ve got two small children. I couldn’t even survive 6 months so retirement is the last thing on my mind.”
Sibusiso warns black people to take planning seriously.
“I can tell you that procrastination is a pandemic. We save money and then use it the money unaware that age is catching up. It’s time we wake up.”
