After laying in state for the past four days, the Queen’s state funeral is taking place today.
200 musicians from the Brigade of Gurkhas, the Scottish and Irish Regiments, the Royal Air Force, and the massed pipes and drums will lead the procession.
At 10:52, the Queen’s casket will arrive at the Abbey. At 11:00, the state funeral will get started.
At 16:30, a committal service will start. With the permission of Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby, it will be led by Dean of Windsor David Conner and attended by a smaller, more intimate congregation of roughly 800 guests.
The Queen will then be lowered into the royal vault after that.
