Amapiano superstar Dudu Ngwenya better known as Lady Du is celebrating a special moment of her song making it to an A-List event in the United States.
At the international New York Fashion Expo, her song Catalia, which features Junior De Rocka, was played as models walked the runway, adorned with exclusive designer clothing.
The moment proved to many that the amapiano genre continues to resonate with people across the world.
She had an appearance on a New York Times Square billboard earlier this year as part of Spotify’s African Heat campaign, which is something that very few South African artists have done.
Additionally, there are popular dancing videos on social media that feature the songs described above.

Lady Du shared the special runway moment on her social media designer Victor Glemmaud whose collection was being showcased at the New York Fashion Week.
“Thank you to @glemaud for using catalia to display your beautiful garments at the New York fashion week 😭😭😭 this is sooo big for me 🙏🙏🙏 I’m humbled ❤️❤️❤️” wrote Lady Du.
