Tuesday, 16th August 2022 was National Joke Day!
Not only does this day seek to boost happiness, but it celebrates the jokes or people that make us feel good through humour.
In commemoration of this funny day (excuse the pun), Feel Good with Andy Maqondwana honours all the uncrowned and untrained comedians in our lives.
Andy poses the question: Who is the one person in your life who should be a comedian and why?
Andy herself acknowledges how hilarious South African media personality, Somizi is and proceeds to give listeners a snippet from Somizi’s show where he tricks Dr Rebecca Molope into what Taboo, the night club is.
Another listener who goes by the name of Abigail, questioned why Andy was looking for comedians when she herself is one.
“Why are you looking for comedians Andy, when you’re one yourself!”
Abigail went on to remind Andy about the topic about underwear that was discussed on Feel Good, she notes that she couldn’t stop laughing at how hilarious Andy’s statements were.
Here are some of the benefits of laughter:
- Improves your mood
- Lowers stress
- Adds joys and zest to your life
- Decreases anxiety
- Changes your perspective on life
