There is nothing like your first time!
In life, we’re all bound to experience the joys of the many “firsts” that life has to offer.
Every first interaction or experience we have encountered has aided in our development as human beings.
Whether that be your first day of school, your first crush, your first job or buying your first car, if there’s one thing life has taught us is that you will never forget your “firsts”.
Speaking of firsts, Feel Good with Andy Maqondwana takes listeners down memory lane, reminiscing about the first car listeners bought. In the same breath Andy asks listeners; if their cars could speak, what would their cars say about them and the adventures they went on?
One listener sent a voice note expressing how she survived a lot of near-death experiences with her first car.
“My first car was a KIA Picanto. This was in 2005, and I named her Mitchu. So, Mitchu and I had quite a relationship. And if Mitchu could speak today, she would ask me How the hell am I still alive?”. Because wow that car survived a lot of things, some near death experiences but we made it! We made it Andy!”
Lindeni from Kyalami shared how her car got its name Ariel when it got caught in a massive flood.
“I wouldn’t want my mom to hear this story… I once drove with my boyfriend, it was raining and we had to cross some bridge, but because we didn’t calculate the amount of water, we were submerged into the water to the pint where I was taken out of the car through the window”.
Other listeners went on to express how much joy their first cars brought them.
Each account shared by the Feel Good listeners is reminiscent of how there’s certainly nothing like your firsts, especially when buying your first car!
