As the nation tries to come to terms with the untimely passing of Renowned actress Busi Lurayi, tributes continue to pour in on social media for the actress.
Busi is a multi-award-winning actress who starred in City Ses’la, Generations, Ses Top’a, Intersexions, and more recently How To Ruin Christmas.
She passed away on Sunday, 10 July 2022 (her cause of death has not yet been established).
Netflix South Africa describes Busi as “an incredible light that has gone out of the South African entertainment industry.
“We will hold onto the laughs, the beauty & the moments of joy she brought us,” the streaming network posted on social media.
Actress Thembisa Mdoda describes Busi as “a kind soul who was giving on and off set.”
Television writer Portia Gumede says Busi was “a ball of electrifying energy and talent.”
She adds “You shined so bright. What a force you were. Ulale Ngoxolo Busi.”
Actor Zola Hashatsi stresses the importance of giving flowers to our thespians whilst they are still here. “I hate how this industry sees you when you are gone,” he wrote.
Anele Mdoda tweeted: “Yhu. Busi. I was a fan fan fan. Going to get on my knees and pray for those around her. Didn’t know her personally but you know where the sun shines and she shone. Condolences.”
