Karabo Ntshweng has weighed in on the underage clubbing culture that existed in Johannesburg.
This is following the incident that unfolded over the weekend at Enyobeni Tavern in East London where 21 underage children lost their lives.
The news sent shockwaves all around the nation.
The underage children were discovered on the floor or on tables at the location, it is still unknown what caused their deaths.
Ntshweng who has a 17-year career in the local broadcasting industry reflected on her younger days and said looking at what unfolded, she knows very well that the same fate could have followed her.

She wrote “There was a big underage clubbing culture in Joburg. Anything could’ve happened to us. I think I get horribly anxious when I hear about this story because I know damn well that could’ve been me a couple of years ago. 💔”

She also said that her first clubbing experience was at the age of 15 at a club in Johannesburg.

Mine was at 15 at Vacca Matta. Could’ve also been Keyes in Rosebank also can’t remember too well.
