Pitso Mosimane’s Al Ahly faced Morrocan side Wydad AC in the CAF Champions League final on Monday evening, looking to make it a third successive Champions League title.
Wydad AC took the lead with one of the best goals you’ll ever see and arguably the best goal of the tournament in the 15th minute through Zouhair El Moutaraji. He extended Wydad AC’s lead in the 48th minute after a blunder from the holder’s defense.
Wydad came out 2-0 victors at the end of the game.
Pitso Mosimane won his first CAF Champions League with Mamelodi Sundowns in 2016 after defeating Egyptian side Zamalek.
On 27 November 2020, Mosimane led Al Ahly to their 9th CAF Champions League title, after winning the 2020 final against their rivals Zamalek. the following year he won his third Champions League and second with Al Ahly, beating Kaizer Chiefs 3-0 in the final. He went into the game last night looking to make it three in a row.
