Music executive Nota Baloyi is against donating money to singer Zahara to help her save her house. He believes anyone who sends her money is essentially buying her drugs.
This comes after Zahara reportedly shared a video to TikTok over the weekend, begging people to send her money.
The video cannot be found on her social media account.
However, it is reported that Zahara’s meltdown in the video, where she blamed DJ Sbu for her downfall has not been met with support.
Nota Baloyi slams her claims that SJ Sbu is responsible and somehow accountable for Zahara’s current financial state.
In a series of tweets, Baloyi said he suspects the singer was groomed to perform on hard drugs by Warner Music South Africa.
“I have serious suspicions that someone at Warner Africa has been feeding our Afropop princess hard drugs. My suspicions are raised by the strange behaviour displayed by said songstress ever since she signed to Warner South Africa. Last week they were having a name change party, now we are watching another, apparently drug fuelled TikTok meltdown.”
Now we are watching another appearently drug fueled TikTok meltdown & yet DJ Sbu has nothing to do with her career but he’s the one that has to suffer because Zahara abuses substances? I will conduct further investigations to get to the bottom of this. You’ve been WARNED, WARNER!

Nota Baloyi went onto say that DJ Sbu cannot be held liable for Zahara when she abuses substances.
When motivational speaker, BI Phakathi shared information of how people can donate to help Zahara, Nota slammed him, asking if he wanted people to support her drug habit.
Nota said Zahara must go to rehab and leave DJ Sbu alone.
Zahara is set to lose her home in Roodepoort after failing to pay her R1.9 million bond. She has been desperately appealing to fans to donate to her and has even approached Kaizer Chiefs for assistance.
Meanwhile in an interview on Massiv Metro, DJ Sbu said he is disappointed that Zahara is dragging his name through the mud when he helped to launch her career.
“When I met Zahara she was still starting out, does she remember those days when she had no one by her side? The second time alone, she was in hospital, she was going through liver problems, and the doctors said it was because of her drinking. I don’t like talking about these things because it puts her in a bad light. But I have to say them now because these things that are being perpetuated is unfair.”
