Patriotic Alliance Deputy President Kenny Kunene fears there is a hit on Nhlanhla Lux and that he will be poisoned in prison.
Kunene was speaking to eNCA where he shared the circumstances around the Operation Dudula leader’s arrest was sketchy.
“The case was opened in Dobsonville, the Crime Intelligence People who came to him said you were arrested in Dobsonville. But he wasn’t arrested in Dobsonville, he was arrested in Hyde Park. Secondly, Lux was supposed to be held at the Dobsonville Police Station, yet he is at Johannesburg Central Police Station.”

Lux was arrested on Thursday afternoon as he was leaving the Kaya 959 studios, following an interview with Sizwe Dhlomo.
Fearing his arrest was politically orchestrated, Operation Dudula and the Patriotic Alliance have warned Lux not to eat the food he’s offered because he may be poisoned in prison.
“We said Nhlanhla Lux must not eat food at the police station because we suspect that he might be poisoned. We have also asked that Nhlanhla Lux must be put in a cell alone because last night he slept with people he does not know.
“We know what happens in police custodies, we requested and there was an agreement that he will get his cell. His mother will be the only one who will buy food and deliver it to him at the police station.”
Lux will be spending the weekend in prison after his bail application was postponed on Friday.
Operation Dudula members clashed with police outside the JHB Central Police Station calling for Lux’s release.
Gayton McKenzie, Patriotic Alliance President said the party will provide Lux with all the support he needs, regardless of the charges.
Arrest is not death, be strong @nhlanhla_lux_ , the masses will never forsake you, we will unashamedly give maximum support to assist you with whatever charges it is you are facing @OnsBaizaNie 👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽

Lux’s arrest comes after the EFF helped a Dobsonville resident open a case against Operation Dudula for the illegal search of his home last weekend.
