Operation Dudula leader Nhlanhla Lux was reportedly arrested shortly after his interview with Sizwe Dhlomo on Thursday afternoon.
Lux was arrested after a Dobsonville resident, Ntate Victor Ramerafe opened a case of burglary, vandalism, theft and assault against Operation Dudula members, including leader Nhlanhla Lux himself.
This after Operation Dudula gained entry into the elderly man’s home over the weekend, accusing him of being a drug dealer.
According to Ramerafe, Lux and his team searched his home without a search warrant, used force and seized property without finding any drugs.
The EFF issued SAPS an ultimatum, giving police 7-days to arrest Lux.
Speaking to Sizwe Dhlomo, Lux said he could not answer for police as to why there wasn’t a search warrant. He said his team worked jointly with police but the matter of search warrants was not his jurisdiction.

Operation Dudula’s Deputy Chairperson Daniel Radebe, confirmed that their leader was arrested shortly after leaving the Kaya 959 studios.
Lux joined Kaya Drive host Sizwe Dhlomo in-studio for a candid discussion about his on-the-ground work with Operation Dudula.
During the interview Lux said he didn’t feel threatened by the EFF who were calling for his arrest.
“I’m not afraid of anyone. Not Julius, not Cyril, no one, because I speak my truth and if I’m wrong I will admit that, apologise and move on. If there are threats on my life and I die, no one can take that as a victory. It was my time to die. My ancestors and God decided that, no one else.”
