Fans of late South African rapper Riky Rick should be delighted to know that Cotton Fest 2022 will still be taking place, just on a different date.
Riky Rick’s management and family have heeded his fans’ call for Cotton Fest 2022 to continue. The music and fashion event has been postponed to the 23rd and 24th of April 2022 from its initial 19th and 20th March 2022 date.
The announcement was made through Cotton Fest’s official social media page.
“In the spirit of honouring Riky’s legacy, Cotton Fest 2022 will still be taking place at The Station in Newtown but has been postponed to 23rd and 24th April.”
The Cotton Fest team promises to keep Riky Rick’s vision alive by bringing cotton eaters together to celebrate the fusion of music and fashion.
They have also apologised for any inconvenience caused to current ticket holders who might not be able to attend on these new days.
Following Riky’s Rick’s untimely passing, Cotton Fest-goers were concerned about the legacy of the festival as its founder was no more.
Which way??

Speaking at Riky’s memorial service in Johannesburg last week Friday, Cassper said that he and Riky were trying to mend their broken friendship.
“Me and him were not on the greatest of terms, even though we were speaking. One of the things I regret was that I wasn’t able to tell him how much I loved that video and how much I loved hearing him sing again.”
He also revealed that he was going to share the stage with him as a surprise act.
