Kagiso Rabada will be South Africa’s most expensive cricketer at this year’s Indian Premier League.
The Proteas star bowler was sold to the Punjab Kings for R18.6 million at the IPL auction.
The 26-year-old played a key role in the Delhi Capitals’ campaigns over the past few seasons`, even helping them to last year’s final.
But he was not retained by the franchise, who opted for his Proteas teammate Anrich Nortje, while also bringing in Lungi Ngidi.

The 2022 IPL will get under way on 2 April and will go on for two months, ending on 3 June.
It’s expected to return to India, after last year’s edition was moved from it’s home country, to the United Arab Emirates, due to Covid-19.
