A recent study by The Road Traffic Management Corporation had people talking yesterday. We first heard about this in Mbali Dhlamini’s bulletins yesterday.
The study shows which cars contributed to the most fatal crashes and speed infringements and VW Polo drivers were the highest contributors to fatal crashes as well as speeding.
A Kaya 959 listener on Facebook says that one’s driving is determined by the type of car they drive. For example, someone who drives a Kia Picanto drives differently from a VW Polo driver.
Mpumi from Vosloo says VW drivers are problematic, “I don’t know who told them that they are better. They are the same as BMW and Mercedez Benz drivers.”
A Renault Clio driver says VW Polo drivers are disrespectful. “The VW polo drivers are so disrespectful. They must leave us alone, these roads do not belong to them,” she shares.
Keep up with the conversation on social media under the #ThomasAndSkhumba hashtag and listen live.
