The Umlando Challenge is lost on Sizwe Dhlomo who doesn’t get the hype around the dance challenge.
Grown men shaking their butts just doesn’t make sense to the Kaya Drive host.
Not for one to dance in general, as much as he thinks the track is dope, there’s no reason for people to get so hyped up that they want to jump on tables.
Last week on Midday Joy, a listener challenged Siz to take on the Umlando Challenge.
He’d probably consider it for money.
The challenge has led to Metro FM allegedly suspending Dineo Ranaka for doing the challenge in-studio on company furniture.
Umlando Challenge is reserved for men and has gents in Mzansi grinding their hips and shaking what their mama gave them.
The ladies in-studio were split with Keneiloe against the trend and Tyroline Franks in full support of it.
Some of the Kaya Drive listeners said it’s about fun and doesn’t take away a man’s masculinity.
“Let them have fun. After the morbid 2-years with lockdowns and social distancing, what’s wrong with a man having fun?”
Gents on the show agreed with Siz and Sandile and will never be caught on camera shaking their behinds, topless.
