A gentleman, who has been with his partner for five years is dragging his feet when it comes to paying off lobola. He asks Tebogo if he sees a future between him and his girlfriend.
“She is the right lady for you. I would say that you are the one who is delaying the process. You are from royalty and you are delaying the spirit and the ancestors are going to be very angry with you,” he says.
“Actually, your great grandmother, from your father’s side is extremely angry because you are delaying. They say that how can you be with this person and both of you have not joined your ancestors?”
Tebogo advises him to finish the lobola process so that his ancestors know about his wife-to-be.
“So you need to finish that process so that your ancestors know there’s a relationship and there’s a marriage – five years is a long time. You are too comfortable hence the delay. She is the right lady for you so work on your communication.”
Furthermore, he advises him to improve his communication skills and stop procrastinating.
“You are not communicating enough and your relationship is full of assumptions. Walk away from that and walk away from the spirit of procrastination, you procrastinate a lot,” said Tebogo.
