The investigation into the kidnapping of the 4 Moti brothers has been hampered. This after the boys’ father obtained an interdict to stop investigators from questioning his sons.
The interdict was obtained on an ex-parte basis and was granted without police knowledge.
According to reports, the family have relocated to Dubai. This however has not been confirmed and the family may be visiting family in the United Arab Emirates.
The brothers were kidnapped en-route to school in Polokwane in October.
Three weeks later, the boys were reunited with their parents unharmed.
When the Moti brothers were found, their father Nazim Moti denied police an interview with them.
According to police the family have a right to withdraw from further investigations. This does not however mean that the case is closed.
While police are still trying to convince the family to co-operate with them, the family are within their rights to legally withdraw their case.
Police are still investigating the kidnapping and are hoping to track the bold gang responsible.
Last week the 11-year old Mayfair schoolgirl who was abducted from outside her Primary School, was also found unharmed.
