Minnie Dlamini Jones has shared a heartbreaking post in memory of her close friend, ‘Real Housewives of Johannesburg’ star Naledi Willers.
Naledi passed away on Tuesday evening at the age of 30. While the cause of death has not been confirmed, Naledi has been open about her cancer battle.
The model-turned-businesswoman was diagnosed with stage two triple-negative breast cancer in 2019.
News of her death broke on Wednesday. Minnie says it has been difficult to digest.
“I’ve been dreading this post and almost avoiding it because I guess it makes it real. Naledi was a force who never stopped pushing for her dreams no matter what life threw at her (and life threw a lot),” she wrote.
Minnie says one of her favourite things about Naledi was that she always spoke her mind.
“You were always so beautiful, so confident and always spoke your mind… we would laugh joke around and boy could we fight!!! You know how much my family and I loved you and I hope Khosini is there to meet you at the pearly gates.”
Khosini is Minnie’s late brother. He died in September 2019 after spending 23 days on life support. The Dlamini family revealed that he had suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm.
Minnie says she will miss Naledi “terribly”.
“What gives me peace, however, is that you are resting & free of pain and all the ills of this world. Thank you for the gift of sisterhood #RIPNaLEGEND.”

Minnie Dlamini fights COVID-19
Minnie Dlamini has been dealing with a health battle of her own. Earlier this month, she revealed that she is fighting COVID-19 for a second time.
“Being away from my child for work is very difficult…But nothing is worse than being in the same house and hearing him laugh and cry for me but I can’t hold him and kiss him,” she wrote on her Instagram Story.
Minnie also tested positive for COVID-19 in June.
