“Pablo” the famous R70K looted sofa goes on tour throughout the country this month.
The blue leather sofa which was amongst the items looted earlier this year, was recovered slightly damaged from an informal settlement a few km’s from the store.
The sofa has since been restored and returned back to the Durban-based showroom towards the end of July.
According to the Leather Gallery’s co-owner Greg Parry, the buzz around Pablo during the looting was one of the lighter moments at the time.
South Africans rallied to help the store find the R70K looted sofa after pictures of the couch at an informal settlement surfaced.
Now the sofa is currently on tour at malls throughout the country to give South Africans a chance to grab a selfie on Pablo.
Pablo will be on display at Menlyn Park Shopping Centre until 20 December.
The store will share dates of future locations where Pablo will feature in the coming weeks.
