Amanda du-Pont has revealed horrific details about her past relationship with Molemo ‘Jub Jub’ Maarohanye in an emotional video she shared on Instagram.
The actress is telling her side of the story after Jub Jub’s controversial appearance on MacG’s ‘Podcast and Chill’.
Jub Jub made several shocking allegations in the interview, including claims about his past relationships with Amanda and Kelly Khumalo.
The musician revealed that he cheated on Amanda with Kelly, but he blamed muthi for his actions.
“When you look at me, you put Amanda du-Pont and you put Kelly. There is no way ever that I would have gone for Kelly over Amanda with a sober mind,” he told MacG.
He alleged that his mother informed him that Kelly used muthi on him.
“When I saw my actions, I saw that, no man…I am a good dude, I’ve got a conscience, I’ve got a good heart, I don’t think I could have done that to her [Amanda].”
Jub Jub added that Amanda abruptly left him after she saw pictures of him and Kelly.

Amanda du-Pont reacts
Amanda has hit back at Jub Jub’s claims. She says he did not “smash” her, as he bragged, but raped her.
The ‘Little Big Mouth’ actress set the record straight about several things Jub Jub said during the interview.
“There are three things that I want to address. The first was that he smashed me. First of all, Molemo you raped me. I was raped for two years. So, please don’t make it sound like it was a relationship. I was absolutely afraid to leave,” Amanda says.
The 33-year-old says she was afraid to leave the relationship.
“I had an abortion, of course, because there was absolutely no way I would have a child that was forcibly given to me. And the most painful part about all of this is that I was a virgin. And I told Jub Jub that I was a virgin and I planned to be a virgin until the day I got married.”

Amanda says she finally found the courage to leave Jub Jub after a life-threatening incident.
“I left because he tried to kill me. He suffocated me, he literally suffocated me… I was always afraid to leave because of the threats that were made but at that moment when he tried to kill me, I knew the very thing that I was afraid of, which was dying, I knew was meant to happen that day. So, I actually got away,” she said while holding back tears.

Amanda stands with Kelly
The actress says she tried to report the abuse and rape but was discouraged from opening a case by a female police officer.
“The police officer said to me to go home and think about my decision because she is sick and tired of women coming to report their boyfriends and husband only to have them take them back after all the abuse.”
Amanda says she stands with Kelly and all women who are victims of abuse.
“Kelly Khumalo I just want to say, I believe you, and I think you’re an incredible mom. I don’t need to know the details because I endured the trauma myself. And I know you probably fought to be alive too.”
Amanda receives support
It’s not the first time that Amanda has spoken out about being abused by a former partner in the entertainment industry. She did not mention her partner’s name, but Jub Jub was rumoured to be the man in question.
“He started raping me too. I’d refuse to have sex as I was tired or didn’t feel like it, but he’d force himself on me. By then I was falling out of love with him, but I still didn’t have the guts to leave. Rape in a relationship is horrible. You don’t understand that a person who claims to love you can violate you like that,” Amanda told Real magazine in 2014.

Dozens of celebrities have come out in support of Amanda.
“I believe you! You are loved,” Siv Ngesi commented on Amanda’s post.
Bridget Masinga added: “We stand with you until the end. We see you, we hear you (and every woman who comes forward). We will be here in your corner”
Masechaba Khumalo (née Ndlovu) also took to Twitter to talk about her own ordeal with Jub Jub.
“I believe @AmandaDupont. Molemo Maarohanye (Jub Jub) raped me too. It happened in Mama Jakie’s house in Naturena. He was my boyfriend. I was a teenager. I was a virgin,” she tweeted.

Amanda says she intends on taking legal action against Jub Jub. She has also called out Channel O for airing the podcast.
MajoLove has decided to suspend the ‘Uyajola 9/9’ host.
“Jub Jub conducted an interview on Podcast and Chill with MacG, which aired on Channel O yesterday, in his personal capacity. Moja Love was not part of the editorial of that interview and is not associated with the content thereof.
“As a channel, though we don’t condone any Gender-Based Violence in any way and under any circumstances. As Moja Love, we have decided to suspend Jub Jub.”
