Fans of the local drama Giyani: Land of Blood have been sharing mixed reactions to the return of the show.
Back for Season 2 the series which airs on SABC 2 on Mondays at 21h30 has some excited and others disappointed. Many have expressed their disappointment in the casting of non-Xitsonga speaking actors, Rami Chuene, Senzo Radebe and Maduvha Maduma.
Others have shared their excitement that the gripping telenovela is back with a bang.
Programme Manager at SABC 2, Jacqui Hlongwane said the drama series is a firm favourite with a big audience.
Not only will Season 2 include favourite characters returning, but the new actors have joined the cast.
“SABC is delighted to announce that the talented and much-loved Rami Chuene joins season 2 of ’Giyani’.”

Last month, Rami Chuene sparked marriage rumours after photos of her in a w wedding gown went viral. It turns out the actress was shooting a scene for Giyani: Land of Blood.
Designer Tomi Rikhotso shared that he couldn’t contain himself when he saw the actress in his dress on screen.
