Ayanda Thabethe is giving her fans a glimpse into her healthy morning routine. The TV presenter shared a ‘Get Ready With Me’ video on her Instagram page.
Ayanda revealed her top tips for starting her morning on the right note.
- Hydrate: “I like starting my day with a glass of water. I really feel like it gets your metabolism going, which is why I always have it next to me.”
- Green smoothie: “I really enjoy a green smoothie. I will probably have one of these every day or every second day. My favourite ingredients are usually banana, kale, apple, and cucumber. Just a good kickstart to your day.”
- Fruit bowl with yogurt, muesli, and honey: “I really like fruit. It’s just one of my favourite things to have”.
Ayanda says one of the first things she does when she wakes up is to give her boyfriend a thousand kisses. The 35-year-old says she then grabs her phone.
“Very bad habit, but that is what I do,” she admits.

Ayanda Thabethe’s skincare routine
Ayanda likes to keep her morning skincare routine simple and fuss-free. She says she washes her face with a cleanser that has a milky consistency – which is one of her favourite textures.
She will also exfoliate her face three times a week. The former ‘Top Billing’ star says it is good for people struggling with pigmentation.
Ayanda does not head out of the door without adding moisturiser and sunscreen.
She says sunscreen is her secret to ageing gracefully. “I never go anywhere without sunscreen,” she says.
