Social media users have reacted with shock to the news that Bujy Bikwa will allegedly be participating in an anti-GBV walk.
Posters for Khuzekani Madoda’s ‘5km Walk Against GBV’ feature a picture of Bujy. The media personality made headlines recently following a physical altercation with Boity.
Bujy allegedly threw a bottle of alcohol at Boity, which cut her face. Graphic images of the ‘Wuz Dat’ rapper covered in blood went viral last month.
Boity has since opened a case of assault against Bujy.
“Surely we are being punked!!” one Twitter user wrote.
Another tweep commented: “This is actually disgusting on so many levels . Does Bujy even understand the magnitude of his barbaric behaviour mara?”

According to the poster, the anti-GBV walk is set to take place on Sunday, November 7.
KS Musique Agency, one of the event’s alleged sponsors, says the walk is part of an awareness campaign on GBV.
“The campaign also wants to mentor boys and young men of colour who did not grow up with father figures to guide them.”

Why is Bujy Bikwa involved?
Twitter users called out the organisers for involving Bujy in the event. “This is a circus! Just wanna sell T-shirts and promote the single. It has nothing to do with GBV… not Bujy of all people leading a March against GBV. Undermining his followers’ intelligence, here,” a Twitter user wrote.
KS Musique Agency says Bujy is not leading the march, but they hope to educate people about GBV through the campaign.
Bujy is not leading any March, he is invited to participate against GBV. GBV is a serious crime and we are providing a platform for our communities to get educated on GBV.

Bujy shared a screenshot of the poster on his Instagram Story on Wednesday.
“It’s time to talk GBV. I have learned so much about myself and all that has happened to me and around me. I have decided to inform and educate while healing and going through therapy,” he wrote.
