This week’s #InfluentialFriday was a star-studded affair with power couple Salamina Mosese & Howza engaging Afropolitans. In 2018 the pair celebrated 10 years of marriage, and briefly touched on what made their union so special.
Yesterday the world celebrated International Mother Tounge Day, a day that highlighted the shocking realities of deteriorating levels of childrens’ comprehension of their mother tongues.

In South Africa, a large part of child population does not know how to read or write in their mother tongue because of the influence of English and the choice to make English their first language. Salamina and Howza asked Afropolitans whether their children speak any African language.
