Nomzamo Mbatha’s star keeps on rising and high-profile figures such as Prince Harry know her name.
The actress got to hang out with the prince and his wife Meghan Markle a few days ago. The UNHCR Goodwill ambassador was one of the presenters at the Global Citizen Live event in New York at the weekend.
Jennifer Lopez, Lizzo, Meek Mill, Burna Boy, Billie Eilish, and more were some of the performers at the event. Nomzamo got to introduce Prince Harry and Meghan to the stage.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex gave an impassioned speech about the coronavirus pandemic and the importance of vaccine equity.
Nomzamo says she was “honoured and proud” to be part of the event.
“Vaccine equity, ending extreme poverty and quality education for the world’s most marginalised. Welcoming the most wonderful @sussexroyal on stage and speaking on behalf of @citi ‘s multi-billion dollar commitment was such a great honour,” she wrote on Instagram.

Nomzamo said she had so much fun at the event.
“Landed in NYC from a two-day South Africa work trip and I’m grateful to have a team that can make me look like I’m not exhausted! Lol.”
It’s not the first time Nomzamo has crossed paths with Prince Harry. They gave each other a fist pump at the Global Citizen Vax Live concert in April.

Queen B also makes an appearance
Global Citizen Advocate Bonang Matheba was also one of the presenters at the event. Queen B currently lives in New York and shared clips on Instagram of herself making her way to Central Park.
“I am honoured to be a part of the movement and help amplify @glblctzn’s call!! Always good to be back in CENTRAL PARK!” she wrote.
