Legendary South African Kwaito star Bonginkosi ‘Zola 7’ Dlamini’s personal assistant, Siki Kunene has set the record straight about the star’s health. After reports from Sowetan Live surfaced about Zola 7’s health and hospitalisation, rumours started about the star’s financial crisis in affording healthcare.
A City Press report suggested that Zola 7 who was diagnosed with epilepsy three years ago couldn’t afford his mounting medical bills and his management team had set up a crowdfunding account to help.
A few weeks ago a fan shared an image of the South African musician and actor looking frail, sparking concern over his health.
However, his personal assistant denies the rumours and confirmed in a statement to City Press that the artist is perfectly fine at home. Siki also slammed the reports of the crowdfunding due to Zola 7’s financial troubles and said that his management team covers his costs and ensures he receives his medication.
Siki advised fans to not believe any of the rumours of Zola 7’s health deteriorating and called reports of the star being on his death bed ‘fake news’.
Zola 7 who featured on Cassper Nyovest’s song Bonginkosi in 2020 is said to be in good spirits with his condition being managed.
