The COVID-19 pandemic continues to be a struggle, taking many lives across the globe.
In South Africa, there have been over two-million positive cases and 62,628 deaths.
‘Uyajola 9/9’ presenter Jub Jub has become the latest celebrity to share his COVID-19 experience.
In an Instagram live video, the star said he suffered from the virus in 2020 while shooting the ‘You Promised To Marry Me’ television show.
“In 2020, November, I was in Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha). I was shooting You Promised To Marry Me,” he said in the video.
The musician and presenter says the experience was so hectic that he was taken to a clinic by his producer.

He says his symptoms included feeling dizzy, his body heating up, and him struggling to breathe.
“I had the most devastating experience of my life, I never thought I would go through that,” he said.
The ‘Ndikhokhele’ hitmaker says the virus caused him to lose weight.
“So in 2020 I got f*cked up by Covid-19. And you guys saw me and after that started wondering ukuthi why have I lost so much weight,” he said.
“For everyone to see me in that condition is not good. Everybody who was close to me at that time was very devastated. I tried to keep it away from everybody because I knew that was really going to mess up the country…” he added.

Jub Jub ended his video by telling fans to take care of themselves and follow all government prescribed precautions.
