Police give clarity
The photo was reportedly taken in Mpumalanga, and not in Soweto.
According to EBNewsDaily, who reportedly contacted the police officer in the picture (Constable Malaza), it is all fake news!
Constable Malaza said the picture was taken in Mpumalanga Emerlo and not in Soweto.
‘The SAPS in the region gave assignments early this year to the class and we nominated top leaners who were named as the Junior Station Commanders,”
‘I’m worried that people are already peddling false information about this picture’. said Mr. Malaza.
The #R40million story is fake. No R49 million discovered by a student and dropped it off at the police station. Just teenagers who passed assignments. #StopFakeNews pic.twitter.com/3HqyfkRpMM
