There’s been widespread outrage after a video of metro police officers destroying a local business was posted on social media.
The video was posted on the 27th of April when the country was commemorating Freedom Day. In the video, there are over 10 metro police officers seen removing a fence while bystanders observe in shock.
The establishment which is reportedly in Vosloorus used a fence to barricade the pavement and used it to accommodate customers.

Tweeps have expressed their outrage and anger after watching the video which has been viewed over 300 000 times on Twitter.
Meanwhile there’s actual criminal activity somewhere out there that requires this energy, not a spaza!

This could’ve been achieved with so much more humanity. Instead they chose to destroy a small business and humiliate them. All this In a time when small businesses are dying by the minute ??? https://t.co/80shI6r67w

These municipal rules are skewed against townships and it doesn’t take a genius to know this. A sidewalk cafe in Parkhurst is fine because there’s a lot of space. In the township, that’s all the space there is. That’s what should be tackled. https://t.co/PhAYzUPSMj
